Meet Brett Hallam
HAVOC Training was founded by Brett Hallam, a South African-born endurance coach and elite age-group triathlete now based in Sydney.

Brett spent nine years in Dubai, where he began his triathlon journey in 2015. During his time in the UAE, he coached with FAWZ Concept under professional triathletes Filipe Azevedo and Lottie Lucas, gaining experience within a high-performance endurance coaching environment.

Now Head Coach at Menai Swim Club and Head Coach of HAVOC Training, Brett brings more than 15 years of coaching experience across swimming, triathlon and endurance sport. He has worked with athletes ranging from young and developing swimmers to professional triathletes, combining technical coaching knowledge with extensive first-hand racing experience.

Brett has competed across sprint, Olympic, 70.3 and full-distance IRONMAN events, as well as in elite race fields. His standout result came at the 2024 IRONMAN Western Australia in Busselton, where he finished second overall and first in the men’s 30–34 age group in 8:43:01.

In 2026, Brett also won the men’s 35–39 age group at IRONMAN 70.3 Western Sydney. His experience progressing from a beginner to an elite age-group competitor shapes his practical, individual approach to coaching.
HOW WE COACH
At HAVOC, effective coaching means challenging athletes while respecting recovery, work, family and life outside sport.
We focus on consistent training, honest feedback and intelligent progression rather than ego or short-term extremes.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in grit over ego, effort over status and a community that lifts one another up. Progress is measured against your own goals, not somebody else’s starting point.

Wherever you begin, if you are ready to train consistently, challenge yourself and support the people around you, you belong here.
